Competition Things I saw at SEMA (Cummins Products)

I need help converting my truck over to a 4x4. At the time of purchase I saw no reason for it. But now... I want it more than I need it, but I still have had a few times where I needed it and didnt have it. Anyway would I be better off finding a wrecked Dodge and taking the parts off or is there an aftermarket kit that would serve me a little bit better? What can I expect to pay in both cases, both factory or aftermarket set up. Thanks!

You would be better off trading in your truck for a 4x4. It would not be cost effective to converyt any modern vehicle.

There are no aftermarket kits to do your conversion. It has been many years since it was worth doing money wise. Low engineering used to put together a pretty nice pkg for a mini truck, but the componets have gotton too pricey when bought in low volume. If you are still set on doing it go to an off road Race prep shop and spend the big bucks to have it done with race quality fabrication. Yuo will be money ahead to trade up.
