OK I know lot's of you guys have more experience with this than me. Friday I Took my business partners 2003 with 555 down to Texas diesel injection and had Edge ez box @70hp,AFE filter and cold air I believe it is called and also a flow master muffler and new pipe from muffler back. Which brought this truck alive seat of the pants already felt stronger that my 600.

The difference between the two trucks is the 555 is 3500 single wheel with 4in. lift and 35in supper swamper's auto.

My truck is a 3500 drw 4x4 600 stock.

the question is the 555. got 15mpg stock and now gets 16. 5 to 17mpg . My truck gets 13mpg what can i do to raise it up some what and have a truck that anybody can drive and not worry about them burning up

Truthfully?



Pull out the stock ECM and swap it with a 305HP version. Since it's a HD truck, fuel economy meant zero to DC - meeting Cali. emissions meant everything, and fuel economy was sacrificed.



Also, without stepping on any federal regulations... anything you can do to remove any type of restriction post-turbo would be beneficial.



Slapping on a TST box, setting it on power level 1 (timing advance only) and hiding the remote would also help fuel economy a good bit.

what would the ecm swap do for tourque

and what post turbo cleaning do for noise increase as the quiteness of this truck verses my old 01 is a blessing i don't want to give up
