Cruising down the road this morning and ran over something. Thought it was a piece of brick because of the red dust in the air I saw in the mirror. Stopped to get the tires rotated and saw what it really was. Apparently somebody dropped a can of fluoresent orange paint on the road and now the bottom drivers side of my truck has a nice coating of overspray on it.

Any suggestions? I know Dodge paint ain't that great so I don't want to use something too harsh.

3M makes some spray adhesive remover that says it can be used on paint, but will not remove "properly cured" paint. I used it just a week ago to remove the wrong color touch up that was a week old paint from one of our trucks, and it did a good job, but didn't touch the trucks original paint.
Good Luck

The 3M stuff does work good. You can also try some of the "cleaner" type waxes. They do a good job on real light overspray. Good luck

I use acetone on small areas does,nt seem
to hurt anything. You can get it at any hardware store. I always wax when i,m done.
Good luck

CLAY MAGIC! I think Geno's sells it. I have removed paint that was cured for almost a year using this amazing product. Can't recommend it enough.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've gotta put the truck in the body shop to fix my little bo-bo last week. Gonna see if they can take care of it for me. As for the rest of the truck, I think I'm gonna try the Clay Magic. There's some overspray and that rust flecks that plaugue the white trucks.

FYI Don't let them hose you! Chances are, if your paint wasn't damaged by the can, etc. . They are going to rub it off with reducer, and then polish the panel. 10-20 mins most likely.

Sorry, I didn't clarify. I have to put the truck in the shop because of an accident I had last week. Getting a new bumper, fender, other front end stuff. The guy doing the work is gonna fix it no charge.
