Hi Guys... . there's a tire dealer says he'll sell me a set of 10 ply Nittos, 285/75/16E for $800 out the door. Is this a decent price?

Thanks,

Dooner

Call and find out how much shipping is then do the math. @ $170 a tire X 4 = $680 + mounting and balancing - figure $20 X 4 + $680 = $760. $800 doesn't sound too far off. However, notice the ones in the link are load range "E" don't settle for anything less.

You might consider these http://www.discounttiredirect.com/d...cf=false&sw=false&cs=305&pc=40196&rd=16&ar=70

I have them on mine (used to have them on stock chrome wheels) and they don't (didn't) rub anywhere. They're less than the 285s too - go figure?

I recently bought a set of BFG, 235/85 R16E's with studs, very aggressive tread, for $607. 00 mounted and balanced, studs, short steel stems, out the door, from Discount Tire. Buying tires is worse than buying a car from a dealer. GregH
