I got the stuff on sale from J. C. Whitney for the right and left roll-up windows - inner and outer weather strip, and front back and top channels. Do I need to pull the windows out first or what?

Have changed the glass channels and weatherstrip seals on my 79, its not too hard. Checked the manual for my 92, looks like it uses the same set up. Just lower the window all the way down and the glass channels can be removed one at a time. Start at the top and pull the channel away from the door, work your way down to the top of the lowered window, then slide the part inside the door upward and out. Then to install the new one, slide it down inside the door, making sure that the window starts into the channel, and then tuck the remainder back around the window frame. You may want to run the window up and down a few times, to seat the channel, before starting on the second one. To remove the weatherstrip, pry them away from the door panels with a putty knife, and they should lift out. (might be good idea to put some tape on the puuty knife to aviod damaging paint) The new ones push straight back in. Hopefully your new weatherstrip seals are oem type and not roll goods, so that they have the same clips. The glass channel if it comes on a roll is not a problem, just has to be the same cross section as the original. I regularly spray all the door seals and rubber weatherstrips with silicone lubricating compound, you can get it from a DC parts dept. part# VU845, one can seems to last for ever, and the seals in my truck are still in good shape after 9 years. Also helps to stop the doors from freezing shut in winter.
