I had a steady fuel leak from my fuel pressure sending unit. Over time the leaking diesel has built up with dirt and has created a mess on the fender well. What is a good cleaner that I can use to clean up the mess? I just don't think water will give it the good cleaning I'm looking for, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanx,

Johnny

Yeah Johnny that thing was filthy when you installed the DSS, I can't believe I let you park next to me. . :-laf

Just kidding:D

Simple green works good just rinse well, simple green will etch aluminum if left on to dry.

Dave:)

My local Cummins service center will steam clean the engine compartment... maybe ask them to do it if you don't want the hassle/mess of doing it yourself? Just a thought...

Spooled-up, an acid brush is an inexpensive little brush sold in the plumbing dept. of most hardware stores. It is used to put acid flux on copper pipes & fittings before you sweat them. I use them for all sorts of things--glue, cleaning etc. They only cost about 20 cents apiece.
