I'm working on cleaning up and fixing up the 1996 that I upgraded to from my 2003.
The current thing I need help with is cleaning up and painting part of the frame and suspension. The frame around the motor mount, and shock/spring tower area are in DIRE need of some paint. They're kind of a white/grey/rust/brown color. This includes the frame in this area, the actual springs, the shock towers, the spring mounts, etc. Pretty much everything metal you can see from the wheelwell.
Can I just blast it with a cheap sandblaster (read: harbor freight gun)and then paint it? Can I just hit it with POR-15 and then some rubberized undercoating? What do I need to do here?
Thoughts, suggestions, etc?
