I have a 93 with reclining seats, the driver seat will recline on its own if you push back. Been meaning to fix this for a while. what is the best way to fix this? looks like a difficult job.

I could not find an easy way to fix mine. I took the whole thing apart, and the little pieces that were broke, were not reasonably repairable. I am currently looking for replacement seats. What I did in the mean time, was set the seat position where I wanted and drilled and tapped for bolts to hold it in position. I know thats not what you wanted to hear, but that's my experience.

Same as Clay, except that I raised the back and just welded the catch mechanism. I have since installed the seats from a Dodge van. They were better seats to begin with and are better than the worn out truck buckets. Others have installed second gen seats with great success and a variety of salvage yard retro fits as well. If you have some cut and fit experience, you will be glad for the difference.

Nothing that I know of is an exact bolt in replacment for our seats, "some assembly required" is the by word here.
