I have an 07' 2500 with the 5. 9 with 107000miles and I think that the head gasket is blown. There is white smoke coming from the crank case vent and exhaust. I'm also loosing oil and coolant and when I first start it up it runs a little rough. As far as I know it has only been above 200F once in which case I shut it down at about 205F. Does anyone know what else it could be or have any suggestions.

This is also a stock cummins with no upgrades or modifications

Sounds like you need to get it to a Cummins shop to have a compression check done sad this is out of warranty by 7k . Keep us posted

Does sound like a head gasket blew.

Check your warranty manual to see if they still word it that the 5 year/100,000 mile warranty starts after the bumper to bumper warranty expires.

That will give you a few extra miles of engine warranty if it does.

Thanks for the heads up with the warranty wording. I'm in the process of dealing with the warranty department for dodge now. Hopefully it works out that they pay to have the head gasket fixed. if you have anymore advice on how to get that to work, please let me know. And once again thank you
