Man, I found out today that Royal Purple's Max ATF is $190 for 5 gallons ($8. 69 a quart). I am getting a larger transmission pan (double deep). Does anyone know of a good fluid (synthetic) that would work in the automatic transmission. Any input would be helpful since this will hold 20 quarts.

I know the RP is $$$$ ( you should be able to get it cheaper than that) , but I noticed my transmission ran about 8-10 degrees cooler and also after shutting the truck off the oil cooled quicker... ... ... ... ... Brad

Try Amsoil. Not too much cheaper if at all, but a good synthetic. Using it all over my truck. I know I have a stick and you an auto, but they make stuff for both.

I went with the dealer Mopar +4, I think I paid $150 for a case and a half of fluid. It was more than enough to fill the new converter/trans with double deep pan/ and the rest of the cooling lines.
