Need to modify nerf bar mounts

I bought a set of the Stainless nerf bars off of ebay and recieved them today. It looks like the small bracket that attaches from the main bracket to the sheet metal body of the truck needs to be bent a little to get the holes to line up. I am just curious if anyone else has had to do this or if I got the wrong ones. I already mounted the main bracket to the body mount and it looks to be spaced correctly and should work so I don't think I have the wrong parts. Just those brackets don't quite line up. Thank you for your help. I am hoping to finish installing in the morning.

I thought the same thing. I called my buddy who got them before me & started cussing. The braket is fine. just mount everything lose & then tighten them right up. It will work. trust me. If you like I could take pics of the bracket from underneath to show you.

Thanks for the fast reply. I just came back in from installing them and it all worked fine. This morning I looked at it for a minute and did just what you said and it all came together just fine. Thanks for the suggestion on these bars, they are a great deal.
