just finished my first heavy pull(#15,000). torque convertor started to slip after about 50 miles. cant excelerate hard or it shudders. not much with no load. i would like input on convertors. i would love a dtt but dont think i will be able to swing that kind of money right now. tia, mark
 
If it were me I'd take it easy until I could afford one, otherwise may be doing it twice. I'm the do it twice expert, believe me, you don't wanna.

I would reccomend that you call Dave Goerend at Goerend Brother's, He is in Iowa so not so far from you. Great company with a really nice product. Kinda flys low under the radar around here but do not let that fool you. Price cannot be beat either. All I can say about his torque converter and transmission is :) :) :cool: Oo. :D
 
One more thing

Dave will talk your ear off and give you a good education for free as will most of the other transmission companies I talked to. We seem to have some great choices when it comes to converters and transmissions. You will be amazed at the difference a good converter makes
