My 04 did not come with any front tow hooks. Can I add some and where do they go and what kind of money would it take.

Its very hard to find a place to hook a chain on in the front. Cant afford a bumper replacement yet.

Stop!!! u can get them here for about $20ish

they are factory hooks, they are take off's when adding the huge deer bumpers

They got 2-3 boxes of frt hooks from all 3 brands of trucks.

I added them to my old 02 and they went on fairly easily. If memory serves me correctly you have to take the bumper off and they mount to the frame rails.

Sounds like a good source but keep in mind there are reinforcing brackets behind the hooks that triangulate the bumper support to the frame and you only get these parts with the full tow hook kit. So make sure you don't just get the hooks.

I agree!

The hooks will bolt up just fine without the brackets, but if you ever use them you will rip off your bumper!

I seen some on e bay and some do have mounting hardware and most to not, glad you all told me about the mounting parts. I will be useing these a lot. Dont want to pull the bumper off. I will call All Pro Truck Accessories to see if theres include mounting hardware.

Any where eles I could look for better pricing?

I got mine from the local dealer, they matched the price of dodgeparts.com, which had the best price I could find 3 years ago.

I have a set I took off my 06 Ram 2500. Does my 98 3500 have existing frame mounting pads/bolt holes that I could install my 06 tow hooks on?
TIA for any info on this.
Ray

I bought mine from the Dodge dealer, but I think I paid around $60 for them. I do have an account there, so I get a discount.

I don't like the design as they are very hard to get a chain hooked to without scratching up the paint on the truck, so I welded some chain hooks to the sides before I put them on. See picture here.

You don't have to take the bumper off to mount them. Just do one side at a time and the bumper will not fall off or need re-aligned. Kinda tight to get in there with wrenches, but not too bad.

That would sure make them more usable and they have to have a better paint job too. I also installed the hooks w/o taking off the bumper but after I ruined a torx bit, I kinda wish I had. .

Thinking back to my hook install I can't imagine it was easy to do with the bumper in place! It's a pretty easy bumper to pull.

I have a set off my '06 that had to come off in order to mount a snow plow. They are yours free, if you reimburse me for shipping. Bolts and brackets come as well. AH64 is right, bumper is easy to remove, just watch it for the fog light wiring, if equipped. (307) 797-0355
