Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Need trans help-Lock-up solenoid?

So, here's the deal. Got a TCI billet converter ( i know, not the best) Trans-go valve body kit w/resistor installed, and a DTT noise filter. I also have a lock/up (mystery) switch. Question is... the converter is not locking with the switch, with or without the relay installed, and/or jumpered. All circuts are good, and I ck-ed continuity to ground. I can come to a complete stop with the switch grounded? Solenoid?

The transgo kit may not allow lockup in 1st or 2nd. You have to modify the VB to allow pressure to the lockup solenoid in 1st and 2nd. See if you can lock it in third.

No lock in 3rd or 4th (OD) Tried it with the relay in this eve, and must have blown a fuse... No OD!

Verify that you have 12V at the relay.

What year truck?? You might need to put the jumper in place of the 12V relay on certain years. I know on my 1997 it didn't need the jumper for the lockup switch to work.

With or without jumper, with or without relay, no lock-up. And yes, I have 12V at the relay socket. How can I test the solenoid? Could it be bad? 2000 truck w/68K miles (really)

Yes it could be bad. If you have a service manual it is supposed to be like 30 ohms I believe. I don't know the pin outs. Does OD work?

Yeah OD works. Just builds alot of heat not going into L/U. Could using the L/U (mystery switch) have burned up the solenoid?

It is possible. SInce you have a lockup switch that should tell you which wire is for the lockup. THe l/u solenoid should be about 30 ohms.

Does anyone have the wiring info on the plug that goes on the trans?
