Need wider tow mirrors

I'm trying to help a friend find some tow mirrors that are wider than the stock tow mirrors. He and son tow a 5 sec car in a 38' trailer with an 03 3500 drw and can not see the back of their rig, I don't know how wide it is. I did a search on "mirror" which yeilded 11 pages from which I found:

Your friend IS driving a 3G with the factory tow mirrors - right?



Your friend DOES have the mirror heads turned VERTICAL - right?



Funny thing - I don't have any such problem when pulling my 38' trailer...

I have the same problem. The mirrors aren't wide enough fo the newer style 102" wide body trailers. It's a REAL pain even with my little 32' gooseneck. I haven't found an add on mirror or a solution yet...

Towed my little 20footer this weekend out to AZ, had the same problem. I belive it's the 102 wide body too. However i can see fine to change lanes.

I tow a 22' Pace Shadow that is 102" wide.



On the drivers side (mirrors vertical) I can see the Left side of the trailer ok. But on the pax side I cannot see the Rt side of the trailer. I'm referring to the side walls of the trailer box. A friend has the same problem with his '03. I can see the front edge of both wheel wells (that stick out a little)... watching for that smoke comming from the tire that is about to blow!



I would like the mirrors to be taller... to see down the road behind me as well as the ground by the tires in the trailer. Watching the trailer tires on the ground (during backup) is awkward with the convex mirror part.
