Need wiring help

Can one of you guys tell me where I can pick up the 12V reverse signal in the cab? ( For my 99 Duallie ) Hopefully, I can get it in the fusebox somewhere, but I don't have a book, and my dealer just told me that the service manager loaned out both books, so my mechanic can't tell me either.

I'm going to tie the reverse signal to both a Hella 30A switching relay, and my Sondar Backup Sensors. I don't like splicing into the wiring harness due to corrosion potential.

Just a bump to the top for you.



I spliced into the wire harness by the back bumper and have been fine for two years. If I remember correctly its an purple and black wire, but its been a while.

You can splice outside the box. After you make your connections you can either coat the connection with silicone or fill the connector with Dielectric grease and I will tell ya the connection prolly will outlast the time YOU own the truck.

You can also use some marine shrink wrap tape to seal a connection. It's designed to seal against salt water.
