Nerf Bars

The crappy aluminum running boards on my truck are about dead--the supports are starting to break, and they just generally look bad.



What kind of nerf bars are 1st genners running, and how do you like them? I'm specifically interested in those which bolt directly to the frame, and not the body.



For what it's worth, a search brought up a number of hits, but it was just people's sigs.

Mike,

I put on a set of black Smittybuilt bars... . or as I call them "S*ittybuilt".

They are ok, but I would never buy them again. I had to make spacers to get them hang UNDER the rocker panel...

And Smittybuilt was no help... they said the bars were right and the truck must've been modified... no way they could have made a mistake... . right.

And that was after I waited 6 weeks for them to make them!

Anyway, I will never buy their products again.
