nerf bars

Looking for some nice nerf bars (Westin, Smittybilt) for my '04. Anyone have these for a good price. $350 is pretty steep. Dealer wants $475, plus install. I would like SS, not black.

I put on wheel to wheel Go Rhino stainless bars on my rig. I think I paid around $550.

I just installed a set of Westin Ovals in black. They look right sharp. They cost me $267 and some change. They take about 1 1/2 hours to install.

I just installed a set of Grizzlys. With two people and the correct tools we installed in about an hour. I was surprised at the ease of installation. I got out for less than four hundred.

Grab a buddy and have him/her help install, they are super easy to do (if you get the bolt on 'no drill' type). I have the westin oval tubes I think I paid about $350. The Westin Signiture ones are about $400. My brother is getting a D/A and the local 4x4 shop said not to buy Smittybilt because of the way they are made, they will soon rust.

Thanks guys. i guess what I saw for prices wasn't that far off. I think I'll go with Westin. By the way, I just bought an '04 3500 DRW (my first Dually!). It's black, and this time I'll trim it out in Stainless.



My Y2k, and my 2k1 were both Dark Garnet Red. I trimmed them both in black. I think the stainless and chrome will look darn right sharp on the new one.

I got them today

I went in to my local truck accessory shop on Wed. I looked at the Westin Signature Series and the Ovals. I liked 'em both. But I didn't like the price of the Ovals (almost 5 bills ), and they were still pretty steep on the Sig's. So, they had these knock-off's hanging on the wall above the Westin's. They were chromed stainless like the Westin Platinums. The only difference I could see was there was no fancy name in the plastic steps. So, for over a bill less than the Sig's, I ordered them.



They came in today. I went to pick them up, and the dude told me that the knock-offs (don't even remember the brand) weren't available, so he ordered me the Westin's. I looked at him like "I'm not paying for the Westin's" (I had already paid for the others so he would order them), and he answered me before I could say anything. I got them for the cheap price. And these are the Platinum's, not the Signature Series. Needless-to-say, I am a happy camper!



I'll go back there again. Their prices are usually steep, but it seems that they will make deals here and there.

I got'em on!

I got them installed today. I like them a lot. I had black ones on my '01. They were "Genuine Steel. " I bought them from 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers. They were not very good bars. The steps cracked and broke, and they only had brackets attacked with the body bolts. These Westin's are sweet, and have an extra bracket that keeps it from sagging when stepped on.
