When the 3rd gens first came out a few of us had loose clamps on our intercooler boots - you could be loosing some mileage (& boost) there.

how to help mpg

Thanks for everyones posts. Now I know what eveyone else is getting what can I do about my truck ? How can I improve mpg?

I took a trip last weekend and got 15 highway that the best so far. I put a lot of Howes treatment in with the diesel so that had to of helped.

Went to mid TENN. friday. Best tank so far. Mixed interstate at 70 mph tops and two lane. 16. 4 combined. Over 70 its goes to hell in a hand bag. Did not tow anything. Three of us. went to look at a young stud horse I'm thinking about buying. Like I really need it. Turned 8k on odometer on trip

My 92 gets 15-18mpg around town (manual 4x4 3/4ton),will spin wheels easily,has 256,000,plowed snow for 10 years. doesn't look like everyboy else's truck and I haven't made a truck payment for 9 years. Sorry guys I couldn't resist-I really wouldn't mind having a new truck I just can't seem to wear this one out!
