New 05 Mustang GT

Dad just bought a new 05 Mustang GT fri night, picked it up Sat around 1230 and it was blown up running on 6 cyl. by 330ish sat. The sad part was he wasn't even beating on it, he said "has a witness" lol goin about 60, rolled into it and hit about 100 and check engine light came on and so he pulled over and it was running rough and clanking like a sob. so he gimped it back to the *******, and no one belived him for about 10mins until one of them started it up. Now its sittin in the shop till monday till they tear it down first thing to see what happened. Either way my dad said he wants a new car, can't blame him... . :--) lasted 96 miles 23 were his. .

My parents bought an 2001 Ford Exploder Sport Trac and the transmission went out on the drive home from the dealer as it was new. We called and told them to come pick it up and we were going to get a real truck with a good transmission in it---F-150... good truck but dad sold it now looking at an 03 dodge diesel



IMO those new mustang's look like crapola. The prototypes looked awsome but the messed it up and the production car came out like bread gone wrong in the oven. I wouldnt trade my 200 dollars 86 5. 0 mustang for a new uglystang... .

Ford strikes AGAIN! Used to work for them, couldn't give me one. Nice to hear things have not changed. Good luck, but I would get my money back, or put a stop to the financing. There are much better cars out there, trust me!

Just reread your post. You say your father hit 100mph? This will show up on the computer, Ford is notorious for voiding warranties for RACING! They will tell him that the posted speed limits are what the car was designed for. The mustang was not intended to be run at these kinds of speeds, that is Fords mantra. I hope your dad is in tight with the dealer or has a good attorney. Man I hope they make it right for him. Again, GOOD LUCK!

If the car wasn't designed for this speed they should have put a limiter on it.

I was really disapointed in the ad with Steve. The car has no where near the cool factor of the one in Bullitt. Looks better than the new GTO though and I'm a Pontiac fan.

Sorry for the long lag... ... Short story it had 2 broken valve springs first car 2 have probs i guess lol so it was fixed underwarrenty no q's asked. Which is cool, but they wouldn't comp us anything we tried lol, but the car runs like jack the bear again but its been sleepin in the back of the garage since its winter up here. But no fears here on the reliablity, cause they told us when we picked up the car they had 2 more with the same probs, and i'm sure the others have been remidied by now. But yea I still love the car none the less. And yes it is the new brand new style, lotsa of nice features and lotsa room.

Good to hear they covered it. Hell, myself and the salesman drove the Bullitt we bought hard on the test drive, 80-100 mph and some fast cornering. Too fun.
