New 06 Quad Cab!!!!!!

I HAD ordered an 06 megacab from Military sales,i was supposed to pick it up June 30th. I took vacation from S. Korea to go pick it up,long story short,i showed up it didn't. I cancelled that deal and drove home in an 06 quad cab.

Now i have a small problem,the name just doesn't fit,i joined back months ago when i ordered the truck,but now i don't have the truck i was supposed to get,haha. I have a 2500 06 mineral grey big horn

the truck had 36 miles on it,in 7 days i managed to put 711 on it,15 mpg(hand calculated) GREAT TRUCK SO FAR! I took my g/f with me who actually sold me the other truck,and let her negotiate the deal,when it was all said and done she couldn't sell me this truck for what i got it for.

Congrats on the new truck!!! Sounds a lot like mine!! I put 2K miles on mine the first month! We did go on vacation in it and I've been to United Hummer in Tulsa, OK to get H2 takeoffs... .



The two tanks that I figured the mileage on one was 16. 4MPG and one was 17. 6 (a lot of driving at 65mpg - HWY). I'm really bad about seeing a diesel deal and filling up with 3/4 a tank still - no sense in even figuring it .

Ha, I took mine to a budies house the third day I owned it, he was shocked to see the odometer -- 1,400 (picked it up with 8).

Im back in Korea now,so mine will have to wait on more miles for another month or two.

The 15 mpg was at 75 mph about 2100 rpm,mostly

Noticed you remoeved the silencer ring,that is going to be the first thing to go when i get back. Installed the condeser guards while i was at home,not 2 min after my uncle came up put his foot on my bumper and leaned his knee into it,to look at the cummins,i said well that paid for its self already,haha

But so far I Love It.

Yeah, my experience with OMSC (Overseas Military Sales Co) is that they can't really touch a dealer's fair deal. I've placed 2 orders with them over the years, and have canceled both.



Good to hear you're in a new Ram. I picked mine up 2 weeks ago with 7 miles on the clock, and now am sitting at 1350 miles due to the drive home from Missouri and a short trip we took last weekend with our horses.

A combination of removing the silencer ring and adding an Elminator Pipe (one of my friends had one he wasn't using)(http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=MPC-EP) made a HUGE difference in the way the truck sounded. Prior to making those two simple mods you had to turn the AC and radio off just to hear the engine. Now you can hear it a little over both Very well worth the five minutes it took to do it!!
