Anybody know the latest on those direct bolt on Alcoas mentioned in our new TDR (which I might add arrived in record time-11 days! awesome!), as far as release date, possible budget damage numbers and so forth?? They are exactly what I've been looking for, but I suspect I'd better start saving up cuz I'm sure the price plus shipping to the rock will be :--) .

The lady I talked to said the one-off set produced for the SEMA show was mainly a "market feeler" and there are no concrete plans whether or not they will produce them. I read Bill Swails comments directly to her over the phone and she didn't back up/concur with that was in the latest TDR issue.

One real PITA problem Dodge caused was to significantly change the wheel offset in 2000 so that they'd have to tool up two different offsets to cover all years, which doesn't help matters at all.

I know Rickson had direct boltup forged aluminum wheels in the works for SRW and DRW applications. Might give them a call and see how that is going.

Gee, kinda sketchy right now, hmm now I have to decide what to do, hate to spend a significant amount then see something I like even better come out:( . Oh well wait and see I guess. Thanks for the info guys.

Vaughn- Don't plan on them developing much other than the already developed 16" Hot Shot for the 2000 and up (dually) . When I spoke to them just last week about the Dually wheels, I was told there is not much demand within those model years to justify making the wheels. In other words, the Hot Shot is the only 16" dually wheel Alcoa makes to fit the 2000-2002. Granted we're talking 16", but I can't imagine with the associated price of 19. 5"s they are going to be moving on it anytime fast.
