Hey ya'all just joined TDR as I switched from GM to Ram last Saturday. There just isn't any comparison between the interiors and technology. I see a lot of folks ask about pricing mine sticker'd for 81k+ bought for 68k including the dealers maintenance package.

Which includes 10 oil changes, 5 rotations, 1 transmission service, unlimited wash and vacuum, 3 "white" glove details and 6 rental days besides the normal loaners during actual services. Even if I would have had to pay their 895 premium for the package IMHO it would have been well worth the cost.

I did get a 7 year 150k b2b from TWS for $2295 100/deductible; not sure if its MaxCare I've seen on here after browsing the forum the last couple hours. Going to check that out just in case its superior to what I purchased, any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and I look forward to the forums. Sorry not sure why my pic is linking directly to Amazon unless its something to do with TDR.

As to the picture linking to Amazon, did you download from Amazon Photos? I have had similar results using Photo.

Your plan sounds great. Mine was the same price but 5 years and 100k miles on a 1 year old 2500 with 18000 miles. Fidelity Warranty Service.

Tell us a little more about it. Aisin or 68RFE transmission? Leafs or rear air ride? Gear ratio? Factory pucks for 5th wheel hitch? Trim level? 8.4 or 12" center display? And welcome! And if you get carrier away you could do this, which another member did! SnoKing

My dream truck has always been a Short Bed DRW but never had a real necessity for the heavier truck or the means.

Unfortunately it is not the Aisin, however I will rarely pull over 10-12k so the 68 will never be over worked, with the exception of holding up to some tuning. (I'll research other threads before I start asking about tunes) 4 Horse goose neck and or single car trailers is all I pull at the moment.

Leaf spring suspension, 3.73 in the pumpkins, clean bed I have to add a GN rig (most likely a B&W turn over ball) unless someone can shed some light on paying the 13-1500 on the factory prep package and I went all out on the Longhorn trim with 12". Barring any issues this rig should be in the family a good long time, basically what else do you need out of a truck.

I have actually been pulling everything with a 2014 Silverado 1500 LT CC 4x4 Z71 leveled lifted 1" Bullydog programmer w/35" Nittos (3.42 w/5.3L) B&W goose neck in the bed and air lift 5k bags in the rear. Currently over 117k on the clock, I've had it since it was new I would say 70% were loaded w/8-10k GN horse trailer.

Get under hood to change oil and check things, forget about a tune and just drive it it.

With reading through several other posts, am I correct in believing the recommendation is to take my truck in to get it aligned immediately with 1/64" Toe being the sweet spot. Also do all or just most of the Nexen tires go to S#!T after 20k miles? Is it the tires themselves that are junk or the alignment, rotation and pressures a factor?

Thanks for the info.

Print out Thuren's specs, and tell your shop to use them as a guideline. Yes, Nexens are less than stellar. Lots of folks on various forums have reported slipped belts and failures at low miles. I had a buyer lined up for my Nexens as take-offs before my truck was here. I do not gamble on tires.

Throw on a new set of Michelin’s and sell the NEXENS on CL.

whatever decimal equivalent but 1/64” toe is what I have used since 2012. My alignment guy of 40 years knows his CHITZ.

Run fronts ALL the time at 80psi and rears 35 unloaded.

Great thanks for the quick replies. I'll get it aligned first and use the Nexens for a couple thousand miles while I'm trying to decide on what wheels to get I am just not a fan of the 17" wheels. They may grow on me if I get rid of the cereal bowl lug covers and go with some acorn lugs or something similar.
