I've owned a "97" 12 valve since 2001

I just purchased a used "04" Quad Cab Dually, HO Cummins, 2wd, Auto

This truck only has 32K miles.

Can you tell me, is the injection pump a VP44 ?? and if so do I need to install a FASS lift pump?? The original lift pump has already been replaced. Remember, this truck only has 32K miles

Any advice as to what I need to be aware of with this truck would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Glen

The VP44 was gone after the '02 model year. '03 and up have a CP3 injection pump... far more reliable than a VP. I would find out whether or not you have an early '04 or an '04. 5... that info will be necessary. Look on the side of your valve cover and see what the hp rating is. Oh, and if your lift pump has already been replaced, you should have an in-tank pump... good to go. No need for anything else unless your going to hop it up. .
