New to Me old equipment

2010 VW TDI Touareg

I'd be interested in seeing some "real life" fuel economy figures over the next few months. Reading the Dart forum posts, it doesn't appear to be getting anywhere near the advertised 40+ mpg. Rightfully so, it is a relatively big vehicle with a gas engine. I'd love to see that car with a diesel under the hood.

I have had mine for 7500 miles (3 months today. ) and i have averaged 39+mpgs and a best tank of 43. 6 mpgs. all hand calculated. i will say the average economy meter in the car is pretty accurate though. Mine is the 1. 4 turbo and a 6 speed manual.

That's a lot better then I've been reading. Would you consider yourself a conservative driver?

Hook line and sinker!:p

I havent followed them close enough to know any better, you sure had me fooled!

cumminz,I see she got it at gerry wood. isnt that the dealership that they robbed all the exhaust systems from the 13 ctds?did they ever catch them? nice ride good mileage.

Dodge does not make a Hemi for the Dart. It is eye catching.

They used to, but it was for competition use only.

Thats why I didnt even question it when I saw the badge on the trunk lid. Although in looking at the pictures closer the engine compartment does look a wee bit small to be housing a small block :D

Took my wife's Dart into a friend's shop yesterday and had 2 pin strips painted down the side. Made a big difference. The more I drive this car the more I love it. We have driven it into the NC mtns. several times and it handles as good as a vette. This turbo engine is absolutely amazing.

A while ago I was at the dealer for parts, and there was a limited just like that on the floor. I sat in it, and I must say that I was impressed. I was very impressed with the seat fabric- it was kinda like a tough wearing duffel bag type material- does yours have that? And what's it called? It is upsetting to realize that Chrysler is owned by fiat now and pretty much no longer an american car company, however they have been doing good things like this.

Lots of luck!
