I have a 2005 and tow a 30ft 5th , Just ordered a new 2014 3500 and noticed a 3 inch diferance in hight. Anyone having problems hitching a 5th so it is level???
Has anyone tried the new Mopar hitch???:confused:

Depends on the trailer....whatever the bedrail clearance is with your current truck and trailer combo, assuming it rides level, subtract the three inches and that's about where you will be. Level your trailer and test drive a truck like you ordered and back under it, that a sure way to see.

Have 2012 3500 4x4 . Took out spacers put them on top to enable same ubolts. Lowered one inch , not a happy camper now having to adjust camper springs on 1999 Jayco Designer 3410. . Not liking my new ride at this time.

After lifting my 03 truck, I also ran into major clearance issues with my 5th wh toybox. I ended up using the dexter axle kit to place tandem leaf springs on top of trailer axles rather than underneath...This caused another slew of new issues, my stabilizers/jacks would no longer reach the ground without blocks, the steps into the coach required an additional stretch of groin muscles...and now the loading ramp is also steeper. What a pain!

Just wanted to give you new 4th gen owner's a quick "heads up" of what you may encounter with your truck's additional height.

I have an 03 that I pulled my lq qooseneck horse trailer with when I bought 2013 I had to crank the jack a little higher to clear the ball but when I set it down on the truck the trailer was the same height as before. I think the suspension is a little softer than on the 03
