I have a 2005 and tow a 30ft 5th , Just ordered a new 2014 3500 and noticed a 3 inch diferance in hight. Anyone having problems hitching a 5th so it is level???
Has anyone tried the new Mopar hitch???:confused:

I had a 2005 SRW 3500 4x4 and towed the 5th wheel trailer in my signature with it. I used a B&W Companion hitch. I now have a 2014 DRW 3500 4x4. I put the same B&W hitch in the new truck and left the hitch height the same. I was pleasantly surprised that I had about the same bedrail clearance and the trailer still rode level.

While I didn't measure the height of the new truck vs the old, the new one definitely sits a little higher. That being said, when I hitched up, it all squashed down and I was good to go. Since then, I've towed over 4000 miles, in and out of steep driveways with no hitting the bed with the trailer.

Here is a picture, parked with the trailer, no jacks on the ground, just hitched to the truck. As you can see, it sits nice and level.

2013-14 DRW is about same height as 3Gen DRW/SRW 6101 Spring, 2013-14 SRW is 2.5 higher then 3Gen SRW 6101 spring (All 13-14 SRW/3500 6102 Spring) Yep 2.5" is a bummer on some hooks.

I am not sure if the 13 is higher than the 08 was but my trailer now sits about 1" higher than before but the suspension does not compress as much under the hitch weight.

Skorski never said if the new 2014 3500 truck is a SRW or DRW. 2014 SRW is higher than a 2005 SRW while the DRW is about the same.

If it's a SRW he will probably have to have his trailer raised a few inches to ride level. I automatically assumed DRW because I have one and 3500 means DRW to me, duh, my bad...
