New 2500 CTD

I have recently bought my first diesel pickup. Being a longtime Dodge owner it was only natural to get the CTD Dodge. It will be used for interstate transportation with an occasional trip to the lake with the bass boat. The TDR has been a great place for information regarding these trucks. I have been running Stanadyne in the truck since the first fillup. I read with interest the comments about PS/MMO and called three different injector services about this mixture. All three strongly recommended against the MMO. One in particular said to run Howes or Lucas instead of the MMO. I plan on oil changes every +/-3750 miles with Rotella T and then Red Line Synthetic at 30,000. With the proper maintenance I am hoping this truck will last 10 years and see me into retirement. Make the first oil change at 3750. Then change it every 7,000 miles at the minimum, otherwise, you are wasting money. Run Delo 400 or Mobile Delvac 1300 oil, you can buy that at Wally World-Costco etc for $6 per gallon. Lastly, if you have discretionary income, then switch to Red Line - Amsoil at 30,000 miles. Also check your transfer case fluid level.
