According to my November issue of 4 Wheel & Off Road magazine, Firestone is now making their Destination M/T tire in 265/70R17 load range "E" version.

We recently received 12 of the Destination M/T's at our S&S Tire Warehouse in Lexington, KY. I also talked with our Bridgestone / Firestone Rep, Jerry Phipps, and you'll see the Dueler A/T REVO's in that size and ply rating later this fall as well.

I've been begging Jerry Phipps to produce the REVO's in LT285/70R17 and / or LT305/70R17 to no avail, beginning when I purchased my 3rd GEN in March of 2003 (my 2nd GEN I traded in had some LT285/75R16's... . they only had 6k miles on them when I traded the truck in; man were they great tires). I also suggested that the LT235/80R17's will be in high demand, too. Wow, aren't they just the speedy ones to finally get them to market ? :-laf :-laf :-laf

And now for the clincher... . when I asked Jerry about LT235/80R17's in the REVO line, he said they're not in the future production plans as of yet. Way to go, Bridgestone / Firestone. Hard to gain market share when you had a heads-up from March 2003 and just now get an OE size with no offerings in larger sizes for those of us that want to jazz up our trucks some. That's fine... . I'll just continue to run my LT33x12. 50R17 Mastercraft Courser C/T's... they're good tires as well.
