New #4 injector line part number

It appears there is a new part number for the #4 injector line for our 5. 9s. Geno's shows Cummins #4988808 is now #5289447. My local Dodge dealer confirmed the old number 05086874AB is now changed to 05086874AC, and the Mopar number is on backorder. I haven't found much info on this but was buying some spare parts when I came across this. I saw an picture someone posted (possibly ebay) and looks like the sandwiched blue grommet is replaced by a strap that wraps around the line.

That's interesting, when I replaced mine last year I wen't to Cummin's and the newest part had a blue clamp.
Why not just order it from Cummins and have it in a day or two? They keep them in stock, you get the right part and it was only $26.


EDIT: all of the parts I found on eBay had the blue part and the bracket as an assembly just like the part I got from Cummins.

Thats sure different! Maybe give Cummins a call and see what they list.

The "original" ones had a hex head bolt holding the clamps together. The 4988808 has a large washer type head and a torx bit. These new ones are like the 6. 7. They just changed up this fall. Shad

Just picked up a #4 and #6 and the new #4 from Cummins looks just like the one in the photo from ebay. #6 still has the blue grommet.
