New 6.7 Questions

I have been unsuccessful searching for the answers to a couple of questions.

I have sold my 2002 5. 9 and have bought a 2007. 5 6. 7.



1) I always ran stanadyne in my 5. 9, should i keep it up for the 6. 7?



2) I am taking it in for the latest flash tomorrow to hopefully improve fuel mileage, what is the latest flash for 07. 5?



3) when i have in tow/haul mode it does not always down shift like it sometimes sharpely does.



4) what is the final scoop on the oil level? should i drain it off? is there something i should address with the dealer tomorrow?



5) i have not witnessed any type regen, will it show on the overhead automatically or do i need to go searching somewhere?



6) how many miles should make first transmission fluid/filters change at?

I believe that the AX is the latest for the 07. 5 6. 7's. I haven't seen much if any in the mileage increase department. I get a sharp downshift on light throttle in the midrange when in T/H with the EB on.

Mine at 12 Qts on the oil change is right on the money. I plan on changing the trans fluid and filters at 15K like the book says, probably going to go Mobile 1 or Royal Purple. Regen?? I still can't figure it out, sometime the 'lie-o-meter' will show a quick decrease in mileage (I assume that is what is happening) I do not add anything to the fuel, haven't seen the need, Fuel filter changes are done at the dealer and the tech said it was in good shape when he changed it. Hope this helps.

#2... I believe 'X' is the latest and that is what they flashed to my truck the last time it was in. I didn't see any fuel mileage improvement with the reflash.



#3... I noticed more sudden down shifts while in 'Tow/Haul' when I touched the brake pedal.



#4... At each change I have been filling mine to the full mark and no less, if it goes to over-full (which it does over time) than Cummins/Dodge needs to figure out what to do. Until I am told different it's filled to the full line like the book says.



#5... You shouldn't see anything on the Overhead Display unless you have a problem. At that point you will need to drive the 45 minutes at hiway speeds to clean out the system. The Overhead Display does not display (nor does anyplace else in the truck) when a Regen is taking place.



#6... Not sure what the numbers are but whatever the users manual says it what I am going by... haven't got that many miles yet.
