Hey guys I put a VA pressure box on my brother-in-laws truck yesterday. This morning he called me and told me it set a code 0251. Turns out that code is "Injection Pump Fuel Valve Feedback. " Do you think the code will reset itself? We have since then taken the box off.

His truck is a new 325/600, which I thought the VA would work on from what I have read on here. Maybe the VA isn't approved for the 600. Does anybody have any idea what might have happened? Do you think he might have a serious issue?

Yeah, I know the 600 is different, but even the VA website says it is compatible with any cummins from 03 and up. I wonder if it needs reprogrammed? I guess I will have to make some phone calls today.

600 VA BOX

The VA box has the same program for the 600 and the 305.

I installed mine last week (the duration box VA CP3 level II), and I did not code-out.

Who did you get the box from?

I bought the box privately from another TDR member. I really don't have any use for it now. I was going to either run it stacked with my TST box or let my brother-in-law use it on his truck. Well, it isn't compatible with the TST box and since it threw a code on my brother-in-laws truck I can pretty much guarantee he will never let it go back on his trukck again.

I spoke to Mark at Peirs yesterday. He also confirmed it should work on the 600. So I guess it must just be something with the truck. I ran it on mine all day yesterday and it works fine. The box is practically brand new.

That doesnt cut it.

There is alot more programming that went into the 600.

What, are you questioning peirs? I checked with other vendors that said the same thing. VA's website says it fits all current models also. There is a chance that it was a fluke. EZ's set codes and so have other boxes. Anytime you modify you take that chance.

It sounds like any box can set a code soon after it's installed and then never again. I would get the eng light to go off (6 starts) and try it again.

Well, at this point I am just wondering if they (VA) are wrong about it being totally compatible. They are telling their distributors they are OK to run with the 600. Then again, we all know some truck are just more prone to throwing codes. Look at the original bullydog boxes. Some caused the trucks to run rough and display codes. Others work flawlessly. You could take the box off of a truck that ran bad and run it on another vehicle and not have any issues. It seems most of it is within the factory programming at times.

I bought my level 1 C3 (pressure) box from PDR INC.

A day later when they got ready to ship they called me back to confirm that mine was an 03 because it wont work on a newer truck.

I noticed my install instructions say 03 and make no mention of a newer model.

This one came from PDR also. I also called them and the told me it would work. The VA web site says all current models fro 03 and up. The Peirs web site says the same thing

Hrmm, thats kinda weird cuz when they called me back they specifically wanted to make sure mine was an 03 and not an 04 before they shipped it out. I wish I knew who it was that called.

We all know the 03 ECM is different than the 04 and 04. 5's because of the deletion of the PCM. If anyone has an 04 or 04. 5 factory wire diagram I would be happy to confirm if the 60 way connector pinouts are the same as my 03.
