For 2005 the Cummins is now rated at 610 ft*lb. Will this mean another "round" of power boxes from TST, Banks, Edge, and etc. ? In other words... will the boxes meant for the 2004 "600" work on the 2005 "610" without modification?

The next issue is the fact that DC has moved the lift pump to inside the fuel tank will limit even further the amount of power you can add before fuel starvation occurs. Should be intresting to see what happens when folks start to BOMB them...

Why do you say that?

Andy

I'm "assuming" (you know what they say about that though) that a given pump "pushing" fuel all the way from the rear of the truck to the front will underperform that same pump "pulling" fuel the same distance. I could be wrong! I do know it's a lot easier to pull a load up a hill then to try and push it though... .

It actually tends to work opposite of that when it comes to fuel pumps. They always seem to work best as pushers. I just wonder if they are using the same pumps as gassers do?

Let's hope that moving the pump to a location inside the tank wasn't just a cost savings measure for DC and it actually was done to provide better performance and/or increase pump longevity!

same boxes,...not for DL

600 and 610=same box

I know I've read that the BDDL is different for the '05. I would have also thought that EDGE would have made it clear if it's Juice and EZ were for the '05,... they may, but I haven't seen it advertised that way on anyone's site, FYI.

Are all 05s the new 610?

Not according to the early 05 window stickers

BUT i think all the 05 engines are 610's -- the window stickers did not reflect it early on though, but they are all 325 hp for sure

I think you are right Tomeygun. From what I understand from the dealer, the engines are still referred to as the 600.

I asked about this and was told that the 05s built earlier were still the 600 but the later build dates were the 610 I was told the dates but forgot I will see if I can dig up some more info
