Bolts ?

Old guys think

After a few years of mulling it over, thinking it through, researching, etc, etc I finally bought a zero turn mower.

A Dixie Chopper Silver Eagle 2750.

Got a good deal as they were clearing out the 11's to make room for the 12's.

Got to cut through some thick, wet grass and it showed no mercy.

Fantastic machine.

Only sad thing is the dealer is a Chevy guy. We did exchange words on trucks... all in good fun of course. ;)

I've wanted a Dixie Chopper ever since I saw my 1st one over 20 years ago while on vacation in FL. They are a little to spendy for me, but what a terrific machine. I keep my eye out for used on the net,but it seems like nobody ever gets rid of them.

Welcome to the zero turn mower world. I bought a John Deere EZtrak 655 a couple of months ago and now I wonder why I waited so long before buying one. It has cut my yard mowing time in nearly the time it used to take. No more stopping and backing up when mowing around trees and shrubs. Amazing machines...

I've wanted one for a few years as well. I noticed that too that no one gets rids of them. I had considered buying a used mower and rarely saw a DC for sale. Some of the ones in the dealer's place that were traded in were 10+ years old and that spoke very highly to me.

I love it thus far.

Ha! Thanks. All of my inlaws have a ZT and love them. It took me between 2. 5-3 hours before with a riding mower. Now it's going to take <30min. I have 1. 5 acres with the hopes of having ~5 acres in the near future.
