How Long Can You Safely Leave Fuel In Your Tank?

Truckers strike and now higher prices

I have just installed a new Air Dog FP100 on my 2001 Ram 2500.

Since I installed it, I hear and feel a bumping under the floor. I have made sure the fuel lines are tied well so it's not them. Could it be the mount? It's tight but it is sort of metal to metal. Has anyone else had this?

I think it could be the mounting bracket moving or flexing? I have a C shaped frame and I believe that the mounts are really made for a box frame.

Well everyone I figured it out.

It is a 2001 4X4 standard cab. Because there is no additional room that an extra cab would offer, I am limited in space. Because of this the top of the pump is very close to a floor pan brace that runs across the bottom side of the floor. When I add the extra 184 lbs. of myself and run over some bumps in the road it hits the brace causing the bumping sound. It is a little of the rubber cusion compressing and the pump bracket flexing. I took the bracket off and cut it apart dropping the bracket by 1/2" and re welding the bracket. Now no more bumping sound. Extra cabs will not have this problem, because there is more room on the frame to work with for position.
