Don't buy before you see my dyno results of my BullyDog intake install coming 03/19! Their claiming 45 H. P.

Not affiliated with anyone.

I put it in yesterday (easy, no drilling, cutting) so I could drive it awhile before Tuesday. Other than some turbo whine, it's no louder than stock. It does do away with the filter minder :( . On Tues I plan on dynoing it first w/ the BullyDog and then installing the stock housing with a drop in AFE because I have to take it to the dealer next week for something. Seat of the pants dyno didn't indicate any difference in power f/ the AFE, but my ars isn't very accurate.

Here's a pic.

Since I've gotten a few emails asking about the Ram Air III , I'll try and get into a few more details about it:

The filter is an aFe 20-40043 (12" long, 6" base, 4" neck) and in keeping with the Scotty Systems design philosophy, is completely enclosed to prevent any hot underhood air from getting into the system. The housing is round, and uses dual inlets (fender and front side of the truck) that are designed to increase velocity as the air enters the system. This Ram Air effect, as well as the rounded housing which shapes flow around the filter, will help reduce the work that the turbo must do to gather air from the system.

We're not promising any HP gains with this system, as we feel the neglible amount of fueling boost that the IAT/AP sensor provides will be quickly overrun by timing/fueling boxes and injectors, and the air system will, as they were on the 2nd gen trucks, be relegated to ensuring a clean air flow. On a stock truck, we do appear to be gaining about 20 HP (GTech competition).

As was mentioned, cruise EGTs appear to be reduced by 50F - 100F, and at a 100 mph cruise speed, EGTs are down 125F. The picture I've attached is of a earlier prototype without the new coupler in place. The system will use the factory filter minder, and factory IAT/AP sensor.

Don't want to get into a :-{}, just more info for everyone. The BullyDog also uses only outside air as the box seals to the hood and they claim a 100-200 degree decrease in EGT. It also uses the factory IAT/AP sensor. Also, BullyDogs housing is all heavy gage metal and they include a lifetime warranty.

No :-{} taken Oo. You're actually being very helpful, as I'm a lousy salesman and you're getting to some points that I've missed. :D

The Ram Air III (as did the Scotty I and II before it) has a lifetime warranty, and is built from ABS to help resist undehood heat even more (metal tends to attract heat, and warm the air entering the intake). The EGT reductions we noted were in the cold air of the Frozen North, and we expect to see more reductions when trials in New Mexico and Florida are completed, as well as when trials on heavily modified trucks are completed.

Rod,

If you need a southern desert test dumby... ... I will have the DDII's in by the end of the month... ... ..... Then the turbo and 5" exhaust. Would that be heavily modified in 3G terms?:D

I got the pm... . I will be calling.

I read a post saying he had a problem with water ingestion when 4wheelin using one of the mega cannon types. I lump most of them in because they all seem to be the same basic design as far as the box structure (shape & placement). He went on to say he didn't have that problem when he replaced it with a Scotty ll. I've never had any of them so its not like I know but I go through a lot of deep ship and figure an ounce of prevention... ...
