It wasn't in the latest Amsoil catalog I got. Then I stumbled upon it while surfing on-line a few days ago. : Figures, I just ordered a case of the old Amsoil ATF.
That ATF+4 (ATE) was only available for a short time. It was a product that was used to "fill the gap", so to speak, until Amsoil formulated an ATF that would cover ALL vehicles, to include the Chrysler ATF+4 application. The one you see advertised on the link you provided is no longer available, unless of course someone has it stock pilled.
"MMM, unless or until DC releases a specification for ATF+4, I don't believe anyone can claim that theirs is"
That's right and DC will disallow any warranty claim in which it can be established that anything other than their ATF-4 has been used regardless the labelling. This issue is heating; it's been brought before the federal trade commission and may go to court for a lengthy dispute. Chrysler is also keeping vendors from purchasing the stuff from them in bulk by requiring that vendors also buy other oils from them along with the ATF.
I totally agree with you on the warranty issues. DC is going to look for any reason to not fix a warranty problem in most cases. By not using ATF+4 you would not have a leg to stand on against them.
In 2000 miles it won't matter for my truck anymore, I'm switchin!
