new amsoil oil filter

just received some propaganda on a new amsoil oil filter that will last 25k. anyone have any info or thoughts.

I'm an Amsoil user/dealer but I still think its best to change the filters at normal intervals. Just because a pamper says " up to 20 lbs" doesn't mean you should leave it on till it gets that full.

The Amsoil oil filter used for the Dodge/Cummins application is actually made by "DONALDSON". The number is ELF7349. They are made with advanced synthetic and nanofiber technology that results in fibers that have a controlled size, down to "submicron" diameters. They provide a filtering efficiency in accordance with industry standard ISO 4548-12 of 98. 7 percent at 15 microns, 50 percent at 7 minrons, and claim to be the best in the industry.



I have read where the efficiency percentage as well as the capacity was tested using the CUMMINS spec#10634 and was much higher than the cummins spec.



Example: EFFICIENCY spec for CUMMINS 59. 5 percent. Donaldson "endurance" filter was 98 percent.



Example: CAPACITY spec for CUMMINS 54g. Donaldson "endurance" filter was 125g.

ALL the Cummins 5. 9 L use the Donaldson ELF-7349 oil filter. THese particular filters have been used on the Cummins 5. 9 L for quite some time.



They are a direct replacement for the "Fleetguard" LF 3349.



The Donaldson brand has only been available thru Amsoil for the past few Months. These filters were designed for the on-road Heavy Duty class 6,7, and 8 vehicles.

I am also an Amsoil dealer/user and the new filters are direct replacements for the SDF filters, the Donaldson Endurance filters have the same specs as the new EAo filters. The ELF7349 is the filter for third gen trucks.
