Really a BAD EXPERIENCE

I was totally surprised when my son and I found a 600 on the dealers lot, with a mark up of $1,000. 00 , because it is was listed as a new product. (supply/demand) idea. we found that they had 5 on the lot We just laughed our butts of, and the salesman was died serious. He said and we'll get it . Also we had a very bad experience with this salesman, as we looked a round the lot, the decision was made to order, said he could not take time to write a new order, COME BACK SOME OTHER TIME. Later He literally Blow his mind, told us he had, had it with us, "go buy your truck from somebody else". I would not recommend this dealer to any one. won't list his full name, but it was the BIGGEST LITTLE dealer in Utah. If you live here then you know who i mean.

Were going to give this dealer some free advertising the BBB and a note to the BOSS, on attitude.

I hope this does not offend any one, just our experience.

Marv.

sorry about the length

Same experience

I had a very simular experience at Dodge of Bellevue.

I also did not have a good experiance with my 97 in there

service department. To make a long story short it took 4 times

to fix a torque convertor issue and they told me nothing was

wrong the first 2 times. I had scanned for codes befor sending it

in and there where codes for tcc lock up. When I got it back the codes had been cleared and they said there was nothing wrong.

3 days later it grenaded on the freeway doing 70. Oh yeah it had an extended warr. and that may have had something to do with

it.

There is a dealer in my area that has the same sales practices. When I was looking for a new 95 club cab 2500 they got one in. They 'demanded' $1000. above MSRP, (said it was Fair Market Value) $600 for "paint protection"that they say they added, put in a cheap plastic bedliner priced at $450 and said 'thats our price', take it or someone else will. It took 6 months to the day to get my truck I ordered from another dealer but there is no way I will ever deal with anyone that treats costomers this way. I later went back to this dealer to show him the new truck that I got for thousands of $$$$ less equipted the way I wanted. I also went by to show them my new 2003 last year. They just don't understand why I go out of state to buy or why I filed complaints with the BBB against them or why I tell everyone I know that they should be aware of how this dealer treats people. They are a good example of why some people have so much dis-trust and call them names other than dealer.

If you want a good deal and to be treated fairly and with respect, try John Page at Mark Roberts Motors in Bartlessville, OK I ordered my 03 from them, flew out and they picked me up at the Tulsa airport and I drove my new CTD home to Tennessee. I was surprised at how good I was treated and that they did not try to charge me for any 'extras'. I saved thousands by buying from www.markroberts.com

If you got a bad dealer put there name on here. You get a good dealer you put there names on here so do it with a bad one. Thats the way I see it.

Wanna hear of a crappy story... .

I told the salesman the exact way i wanted my truck. They found 2 of the exact ones i wanted they where the same. . We made a deal on the one with 0 miles... i signed the papers and everything. . Then as i was waited i called up the dealer and asked where my truck is? then the sales man told me they couldnt get that truck with zero miles so they are bringing me the truck with 700 miles... In secrecy, i called the dealer in indiana and asked them how it got 700 miles on it and they said they used it to tow a car to another dealer because there tow truck was in for service... And i asked him about the truck with 0 miles on it and he said that was sold a couple weeks ago..... So that means i signed the papers for a truck that was sold already... I was very ****** at this point...

I didnt say anything to the dealer when the truck got there. I looked at the truck and everything was ok so i took it with almost 1000 miles on it... . I only took it because it was the end of the 03 model year and i didnt want to wait for the 04's because at the time i thought theyd have egr. .

btw... the dealer is shaumburg dodge in shaumburg illinois... . from what i hear service sucks there to... I will never step foot in that dealer again

Here's a good one. I was told by a local "dealer" in Dayton that there was no such thing as a "QC SRW SWB 3500". This despite the fact they had at least 1 on the lot and their ordering book showed that configuration was available. When I questioned them on the fact that it was in the book, they said "well, this book is old".  In hindsight, it's clear they were unable to operate their own ordering system.

None of the local dealers had a clue about what they were selling. I bought my truck from the one dealer where the salesman was willing to admit he knew nothing, rather than feeding me BS. I have an excellent relationship with them to this day. :)

Never believe anything anyone tells you unless you have personally verified it to be true.

Thanks for the heads up on the Biggest, Baddest Little Dealership in Utah. I won't go to Worst Valley Dodge either, nor Hinckley Dodge in Salt Lake. Bad experiences with them all. I won't go to Smiths, but it sounds good at Barber Bros. I wonder if they would honor a new order with that price or should I go to Oregon or see Tomeygun in Saint Louis.

Gee, I thought you might be talking about Billion Dodge in Bozeman, MT. I've gone over the hill to Yellowstone Country Motors in Livingston, MT for my last two trucks. The salesmen, Marcus (02) and Charley (04) were straight shooters with no games - out the door prices. The first truck came from Billings pre-Lithia.

Plus, they beat all the big dogs, i. e. Dave Smith, Dishman Dodge, Performance Dodge, and Lithia. All the bonuses, no deposit, made to order, andbelow invoice.

Billion has dissed me thrice and lied to me twice. I check there just to see how good of a deal I actually got :D

It's sad to see the dealers becoming so greedy, but they are in business to make money. They can make more money selling a boatload at a discounted price and getting referrals and repeat customers rather than skimming the fat off a couple.

Word of mouth advertising will spread like wild fire if people are treated right. Look at this forum.

Just read all your replies to this post, glad to hear mine was not one of a kind. THAT dealer is "THE LAST OF THE LITTLE GUYS" in bountiful, MENLOVE DODGE toyota. I bought my 95 there and was treated OK. Also posted on the DODGERAM. COM under dealers the section where you can say what kind of treatment you got, and service ETC. West Valley Dodge seamed to be OK for my son, looks like maybe they are going to better the deal so he can get a new truck. This guy gave him figures to put down. Not as good as some on here put to him acceptable. I tried to get him to go to Tomygun or oregon.

Marv.

Yes,

I knew exactly the dealership you were talking about. I am not too impressed with Menlove. They say "make me proud" to get a better deal, but they just want to advertise and not put their money where their mouth is.

Have you tried Quality. I went there and they told me what they would sell the truck to me for and I told them I could do better, but if they shaved off an additional 750 off, I would talk. They instantly shaved off 750. 00, so it was 750 below invoice, but then they wouldn't give me anything for my old truck, so I walked. Have you tried them???

Blair

KD7GYJ; Vaughn

went to Quality, gave him a fair price on a Laramie right off but we figured it should have been1500. 00 lower. talked and talked, sales manager came gave us a figure, HIGHER would not go lower, we walked. tried to get him to go to Spokane, BUT he has done it here at west valley, he had talked to them before and they have taken care of him. found what he was basically looking for. Looks like he will get it this Saturday. Plus the 600 is in it, 6 forward gears. but these guys are using the same tactic the other dealer used marked up $800. 00. for the engine.

Moeller; that is where i posted but he is behind on up dates.

Thanks to all.

Marv.

Big Bobs deal is the real thing but sell your truck yourself you are not going to get top dollar on a new sale that lean. With the hold-backs Dishman is probably lucky if it clears 600 bucks on that deal.

MLee I hope you are talking about invoice not sticker price I have been so pi$$ed at dealers with second stickers I have been known to tear them off while there not looking. :)
