Great my 2022 3500 ho is just awesome. 13k only two recalls I have owned 5 new trucks in my life. Never had a recall or any warranty work done on anything. Now is this the new normal? I really like this truck .

Graphite is pretty extraordinary, It's used to make ball bearings. And it only took 4 years to get your own forum. We wore out the 5th Gen "DISCUSSION" and 4.5Gen never took. Uh Oh, headache is coming back. Glad I have a TRUE 4th Gen. :D

Need to get a real life post started. Here's mine.
I updated my 12" Uconnect software to 40.1. It also changed my EVIC display. The first things I noticed on the EVIC is the speed font has changed to a fatter figure and the MPG current and avg numbers are larger. I did not know the Uconnect software could change the EVIC. Did anyone else notice this? Any thoughts?

From drivingline.com:

Getting away from gray cast-iron for the first time in this engine’s history, the high output 6.7L Cummins now sports a compacted graphite iron (CGI) crankcase from Tupy, which is perfect for the higher cylinder pressure this engine likely sees over previous versions. Added hardness and fatigue strength, better ductility and improved tensile strength, and substantial weight savings are all benefits of casting a block from CGI (this block is 60 pounds lighter). We don’t know the exact stats on the Cummins’ crankcase, but we do know that CGI can be as much as 75-percent stronger than conventional gray iron. A new, stronger alloy crankshaft with a 10-bolt crank flange is secured inside the deep-skirt block via four-bolt main caps.
