Installed a new tailgate handle backup camera this weekend and went out this morning to dead batteries. I have an Edge CTS 2 and connected the camera to it.

I located a spare 15a fuse in the panel under the hood that has switched power. I used a fuse tap to draw power for the camera as the CTS 2 wants the camera on when booting up. I ground the camera to the negative side of the battery.

I hooked up the battery charger to the DS battery and it read 71% this morning. I am stumped as to what could be drawing down the batteries and what I did in the install that could cause this.

Any thoughts?

Sometimes I have to laugh at my self. I charged up the batteries last night and went out this morning to try and start her up.....nothing. I wondered if maybe the shifter got bumped and sure enough after I pushed up on the sifter she fired right up. A real Daaaah moment for sure.
