I just read in a 4x4 mag that BFG will be releasing a 285/75/17 E AT2
I'm looking at the article right now. Newest Petersen's 4-wheel,pg. 18. It states that a 285-75-17 BFG AT will be available. Discount Tire's site doesn't list it though. That would be good if BFG figured out how to build a tire that doesn't require a ton of weight to balance. Incidentally,my local Discount Tire doesn't have this tire in it's system. I don't know a thing about the size of tires or off-road tires that you guys are discussing, that's the domain of four wheelers and I've never owned a 4x4.
But I do know that BF Goodrich is a subsidiary of Michelin or is owned by Michelin, there may be a legal difference. IMO BFG tires are the next best thing to Michelins. If I wasn't willing or able to pay the price of a set of Michelins, I would buy and use BFGs with confidence.
