Got the new tires on today, they look sweet. My old tires were wore down to almost nothing and I was sliding in the littlest of snow. Got some real traction on there now. I absolutely love the feel coming down the gravel road compared to the "highway" tires I had before. Thanks to everyone who answered questions for me over the last couple of months while I was trying to decide which route to take. I am confident I made the right choice.

Which Ones

Which BFG's Did You Decide to go with? I just ordered a set of the BFG Commercial Traction tires for my 3500. I have on the BFG commercial All Weather tire now and it has been the best tire I have used so far. I just wanted a little more traction for the winter cow crap i have to go through.

I went BFG all terrain 235/85. Just under 900 for all six. Should last well, though, My brother has been running them for years and says he has never gone under 65000 miles on a set and usually quite a bit longer.

Good Choice

I had the BFG All Terrain 245/75/16's on before I got the commercials. They are a great tire. I got about 50,000 out of mine. I like trying something different every time to see if I can find something better. (As long as it is a BFG!) I bought these latest ones of the internet for 773. 00 for all six. The All Terrains were the same price.

I paid $880 for all 4, mounted, lifetime rotation, and balance, with road hazard, 285-75-16... . Not very thrilled with the BFG A/T's... . when you get into some gooey mud, and they fill up, they do not clean out very easily... they do excellent in sand and snow, but the sand is 165 mi away, and the snow is about 400-500 mi in the other direction... I will probably make this the last set of BFG's, and go with Michelin's. . Oh yeah, and they cant handle alot of weight either... hauled 16 cows recently, got back, dropped trailer, drove about 85 miles, and sidewall blows out while it is parked... .   Glad I was not driving at the time!

I hauled cows and rolls of hay with my All Terrains and never had a minutes problem. The Michelins that came on my truck SUCKED big time I only got about 25000 miles out of them. They werent worn completely down , but at this point you couldn't take off at a stop light when it was raining. Offroad was out of the question. The last BFG Commercial All Weathers got surprisingly good traction offroad, better than I expected. I'm hoping the Traction model will be as good a tire only with better traction (DUH!)

hey cowboy barber, I have been trying to order the BFG commercial tractions for several weeks. The place I am ordering them said that the warehouse only had 4 and that a production run was scheduled for this week. Can you tell me when/where you ordered them. I was odering the 235/85/16. The tread pattern on these tires looks great and I'm hoping that since they are "commercial" the tread life will be a little better. Thanks

I ordered mine from www.1010tires.com. I live in the south and I think this site is frome Canada but I ordered last Wednesday and they are supposed to be here by the end of the week. You can also order these from Wal Mart but I dont know what the wait would be. Wal Mart is also higher plus taxes.
