New bugs.????

[Bug Out]

I researched the auto transmission adjust and did not under stand the post I read. My speedo is off 5 mph fast. It reads 65 mph and the GPS says 60MPH. ?



How do or can I adjust it?



Second bug: Is there anything on the dash inbetween the headlamp knob and mirror adjust button?



I have a hole with 3 wires sticking out. Is this a home made deal or was there some factory button there?



almost Last but not least: The motor sounds like its tacking out over 2K at 55mph or so. ( no tach to really tell)



Was there OD in 1990 or just 3 gears and thats it?



Last question? What is causing the alternator to "pulse" the lights right after i start the motor, but not several minutes after running?

well for your first question it sound's like maybe your missing the cargo light button ? and as for transmission it's a 727 3 sp no Overdrive only thing that might help is Bigger tires or find a 518 that will have a overdrive for you

I'm looking for a new set of rims/tires now, craigs list,backpage etc. the cargo button is on the right hand side of the steering colume.

Top speed for you should be about 70-75 mph pedal on floor. That is about 2400 rpm. Welcome to the 727 club! :-laf

I lived with it that was for 8 years, then in went a stick. Now I can do 100 mph.

Yes, big tires will help. Once they are installed, then play speedo. Not before. It will be off again.

As for the switch, you are talking left side of column correct?

The "pulse" is normal, it is the grid heater cycling when cold.
