Check the Version # you have. I got mine a couple weeks ago and it was Version 1. 4 and I heard a day or two ago that Version 1. 5 is out. One of those may have your fix. I don't have the problems you identified, FYI.

Off the Topic a little From what I understand the crazy larry program is available 200+hp setting

j. m. mcfly's truck is an 03 so no Crazy Larry for him. Only for 04. 5's and up. As for the brake and abs light 1. clear codes with Pup, 2. trying backing up for at least 30 feet, 3. go back to stock and try again. Mine set codes the first time and since then everything has been fine. Be sure to cycle key before starting after the download.

Recieved mine last week with a yellow insert in the manual and said the latest version( didn"t say which one). said if codes appear, to start the engine 4 times if it didn't clear the codes to back up at least 30'. Downloaded mine in the tow mode took about 5min. and no codes...

unloaded programer today trans seemed to be not shifting correctly,when unloaded trans shifted fineso i reloaded into performance mode and all lights came back on and trans seemed to slipp in overdrive and truck idles about 1100 rpm so i unloaded it again. hooked my edge ez back up on setting 4 and trans shifts fine so left it unprogramed and will call bullydog monday

On my 04. 5 the #2 setting (tow) drives somewhat like that. There must be a reprog of the shift patterns... ... ..... but I like it.

I finally hooked my pyro up today so I'm gonna play with the higher settings after I have a better idea of what to expect from the tow egts empty.

I have had my truck with the pup programed on the performance setting now for over 5k. It is great, no codes lots of performance, I lost about 1 mpg but I know that I drive it harder. EGT will go over 1050 (after turbo) so I keep a eye on it. I havn't tried it on the extreme setting because I know that I will want to leave it there, and the automatic transmission will not hold all the power. Do call Bully Dog and talk to Justin, their support is great and I am sure they will take care of your problem

reloaded my pup this morning on tow mode50-70hp truck ran fine no engine lights and trans fine than i put my edge ez on level 3 and still ran great and has a pretty good smoke show and i did not hear the pop noise out my exhaust put one bottle of stanidine into about 20 gallons of fuel to clean injectors. truck seemed to have tons of tire smoking power,left a set of marks for about 75 feet

you will get those lights and beeps for the first three times you start your truck then they go away. It freaked me out as well the first time i downloaded the programs. Each time you change your program you will get those lights and beeps.



I dynoed my truck on sat and with exhaust and AFE it was 367 hp and 780 ft lbs on the extreme setting.

called justin at bullydog and he told me to deload out of truck and send back to them and they would instakk new version of the downloader,i had the 1. 4 and am getting newest version now
