I went out and bought a 'new' (at least to me, anyway) car yesterday. A 1936 Hudson Terraplane two-door sedan. $1,400. Suicide doors, flat-head 6, 3-speed manual. It's not a basket case, but it's definitely in dire need of restoration. It's probably 90 percent complete - it's basically missing the radiator and right passenger seat (it had two separate front seats). Pretty much everything else is there. This Hudson is going to be fun to restore, but it will take a few years. When we get back from our Thanksgiving trip, I'll post a few photos of it in it's present condition.
