I talked o Trophy Rig Outfitters at the Stock Show in Fort Worth tonight. The are advertising a new "Dodge Power Module" for $595 special from PAC Chips in Fort Worth. I was told it is called the PAC 2001/2002 power module and increases HP by 60 and torque by 120 ft. lbs. , milage by 2 to 3 mpg, and has been approved by Dodge to not void the warranty.
Does anyone know if this is true? Has either Dodge or Cummins certified a newer chip. Does 60 hp gain justify this expense? I can't get better than 17 mpg in best highway conditions on my 98. 5 24V Club Cab 4wd 5 sp 3:54 gears with 44k miles. I have read all of the threads the last few months about mileage but have not been able to increase it and would like to upgrade the computer (I don't want to say BOMB because you know who is watching) but will not do anything to void my warranty.
