I am looking at getting a SB 3250 double disk clutch and would like some feedback from anyone who has one. I want heavy duty to pull 12 to 18K and do use it as a daily driver.

Just installed 2 weeks ago on a 07,5. 9,3500 @23k Lbs total. I travel with a heavy truck camper and a jeep on a trailor {9900# on rear axel}. The clutch system worked perfect through-out a week trip in Smoky Mountains. I liked the engaugement and pedal feel better than the old duel mass set-up. When in reverse with a load I will use 4WD low because tight engaugement and I don't want to ride the clutch. There is some noise from the tight springs that are used but nothing that should keep you from installing this system. My truck is not stock and I like to keep up with traffic, so I'm not affraid to use the skinny pedal. I should also say this is my 2nd SB clutch {99,4500} and I can't say enough good things about it and the SB Co. itself. Four weeks ago I ordered the system through a Performance parts co. and they sent the wrong trans. clutch system {the sale person admitted he didn't know NV5600 and G56 and after we had a conversation about the dual mass setup} and then when my truck is on a lift with a trans on floor and my family ready to go on vacation in 3 days said I JUST HAVE TO WAIT for them to receive the wrong one back and then reorder the correct one. At this time I spoke to the good people at SB and told them of my time sensitive situation and they made the kit and shipped in 24hrs. Yes there are companies out there who still do things the right way.

I haul that much weight on occasion and even with my mods the clutch holds well. It is also much more reliable then the 3600 plate and with the southbend hydros the pedal feel is good. They only issue you may find is backing up. The clutch is tight and with no slip it causes the truck to hop, but you get used to it.
