new clutch in a g56

I installed a valair ceramic/kevlar clutch kit in my 2007 ram 2500 on october 19. So far i have about 450 miles on the clutch and i have followed the break in directions. My question is when i am at a stop and i start releasing the clutch, if i dont time the throttle right with the clutch, the clutch will make a honing sound (the best way i can describe it is honing). So is it just the nature of that style of clutch or am i not operating the clutch and throttle correctly. It doesnt happen if im taking off in first gear, only in second.

talked with kevin at valair today. maybe i babied the clutch alittle during break in. so i took my pickup out after work and opened it up. after alittle bit of fun and truely realizing the joy of a cummins, i notice it went away, some have been alittle glazed. i also didnt realize how much the oem clutch held my cummins back

my south bend clutch came with breakin instructions that said to get out on the black top and try and spin the tires be agresive with it to help seat the clutch. that was one year ago next month and about 30,ooo miles ago with no other problems. I did the install my self, hadnt done a clutch job in twenty yrs but all went well.
