Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) New Clutch install price

Started checking around on having a new clutch installed in my 96. Prices I'm getting are around $600. 00 for labor. Most everyone balked at me bringing in my LUK gold clutch kit... but eveyone else wanted to go with a $450 NAPA kit...



What did you pay to have your's put in?

Mass Diesel quoted me $400 for labor. They offered either southbend or centerforce clutches. Do these shops that you are dealing with specialize in diesels? Good luck.

I put 3 clutches in my previous 97 2500 4x4... .



When I got my DD & 98+ trans top cover I had some buddies offer to do it for a case of beer..... they had 3 DD clutch installs under their belts... . BEST BEER PURCHASE I EVER MADE! ... and I don't drink!! :-laf



Oh yeah... . ever see two guys get a NV4500 & transfer case on the ground without a lift in less than 30 mins... that'll make your head spin!! :--)

$300 can be found but most shops ask ~$400. Depends on how they set up their prices, some of them include the flywheel turning in their install price.

Put that info in your 'Signature'. Nobody searches through profiles . To your question, I paid $400 for DD clutch and upgraded hydraulics install in my '01, but mine is 4x4.

Truck is ready to pick up. They charged me more labor because I brought in the clutch, resurface the flywheel, replace leaking rear seal. $495. 00
